Directive 2011/65/EU RoHS - Restriction of Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
RoHS STATEMENT
At Bedford Opto Technology Ltd. RoHS compliance means that:-
- Our supplier has confirmed the compliance status of their relevant product to us.
- We have implemented rigorous process and document this.
- Compliant product can be identified by the Batch No. which carries LF on the end eg BXXXXXLF.
Confirmation of compliance status by our suppliers is either because the products do not contain any of the restricted substances referred to in Article 4(i) of the RoHS directive OR restricted substances are at concentrations not in excess of those permitted under the RoHS directive. For these purposes the maximum concentration values of the restricted substances by weight in homogeneous materials are:- LEAD 0.1% MERCURY 0.1% HEXAVALENT CHROMIUM 0.1% POLYBROMINATED BIPHENYLS 0.1% POLYBROMINATED DIPHENYL ETHERS 0.1% CADMIUM 0.01%
Bedford Opto Technology has taken all reasonable steps to confirm RoHS status with suppliers and maintains documentation to support this.
Directive 1907/2006/EC REACh - Registration, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals
REACh STATEMENT
Bedford Opto Technology Ltd. is fully aware of the requirements given by REACh and identified it's roles and obligations to the best of it's knowledge.
- Bedford Opto Technology Ltd. is a 'downstream user' / producer of 'articles'.
Bedford Opto Technology Ltd. does not intend to registar any substances as we do not produce any 'articles' containing any substances that are intended to be released at any time therefore registration is not required. Bedford Opto Technology Ltd. is in contact with all our suppliers and collating information to ensure the availability of it's product ('articles') in the future.
Bedford Opto Technology Ltd. will monitor obligations in regards of Annex XIV - SVHC Substances of Very High Concern 'Candidate List'. (138 @ 19.12.12)
